- Thursday, March 13, 2003 at 18:35:31 (PST) I am a student that attend Parkway Academy and one of those that was in the audience while all of you did what y'all do best. I'm writing just to give you guys your props because y'all was good. I never knew poetry could get as good as that. I mean I heard good, but the good I'm talking bout is a different kind of good.Mr. Lumkin was right "there is other ways to express something with out even say it directly". Listening to y'all make me want to write poems and that's something that would never cross my mind because I don't have not one rhyming sentence in my body. But all I'm trying to say is keep up the good work and please come back to Parkway so we could here more.

Miami, FL USA - Wednesday, March 12, 2003 at 12:54:39 (PST)Your performance at my highschool,Parkway Academy Charter, was phenominal. I am a sixteen year old poet, but I have never been introduced into the world of being a lyricist. Your show today, March 12, 2003, has encaptured my mind, and soul and makes me want to elevate from the level of writting that I am currently at, and venture into the territory of a lyricist.

Pemb Pines , fl seperated states of america - Wednesday, March 12, 2003 at 07:41:56 (PST)I saw your caln of about 8-10 perform on Monday the 10th of March in Hollywood at Club Calabash. I'm the young lady with the big mouth that replied to those touching verses of each poem performed by each poet in your group. I will be filled by each poets words of knowledge and life experiences for icons. I performed a piece entitled GAY IMMA EARTH. I hope my piece was well received by your powerful clan on intellectuals. I intend on seeing your last performance in Ft. Lauderdale Fri. the 14th at Spoken Word Cafe before the clan returns to Tallahassee.
Love, Love, and lots more love from me and your south Florida family on Mellow Dramatic Mondays at Calabash.

I am just writing to let you know that I support you guys and I am inspired everytime I am in your presence. I too, am a writer and would love to be a part of the group. I was wondering if there were auditions or what is the process for becomming a member of the group. --I met one of you at Cove Cafe on Monday...I am not sure but I think someone said he was over the group, maybe he was just a part of it, anyway, Fayona recited a poem, I shared a poem of my own to the table. tallahasse, fl USA - Monday, February 24, 2003 at 21:57:55 (PST)I would like to thank God for the opportunity to meet a very special young man, who has been such an inspiration to me. This young man provided me with information which lead me in the direction to be able see and hear Black men and women present amazing poetry. This experience was not a common experience for me, so it did take time for me to understand the poets rhymes and concepts. But by the grace of God and the will to want to understand, by gosh I think (I know) I got it. This unique poetry troop "Black on Black Rhyme" is spectacular. Not only are they awesome in every way, they give off an aura that places rings around their audience. Thanks Keith, I truly enjoyed meeting and knowing you as well as the members of the poetry troop. May God Bless You and Keep You in Perfect Peace. We have all come this far by faith. Keep Going!!!!!!

Hollywood, FL USA - Friday, February 14, 2003 at 11:34:14 (PST)Eye bee up late night - crying two right-
Ann win things ain't tight- eye view the web sight-
eye reed the comments- that they cum wit-
and that's win my eyes get lit- and I begin to spit-
Rhymes from my mind that have been dwelling-
Unknown to microphones because of incorrect spellings-
and when they finally become spoken- the cycle is broken-
No more joking - as my pen starts stroking-
between the sheets- without that Isley Brothers beat-
because we don't write samples we create the master piece
because when the master is at peace the slaves won't get whipped- and without the poets these words won't get flipped- and without poetry venues these mics won't get ripped- and if you and your friends don't make trips-
to see us - JESUS- it won't be us ---
so go to a venue near you and see if there is anything that you can do - to help them out so they can rep their house-
help pass out flyers or become a poetry c.d. buyer -
become a chapbook reader - contrary to popular belief, we need ya- to support us so we can sleep with ease
because black on black rhyme is not just poetry-
IT IS WHY I BREATHE-----peace - I'm going to sleep!!ZZZZZZ
